I was looking forward to eating this "string hopper". The noodles are rounded. You can hang coconut porsan pole or curry as you like. Satisfied ♪♪♪
The noodle curry is excellent. It's a shop you'll want to visit on a regular basis.
I always use it for lunch, but this time it was used by three women at night. With the image of an ethnic izakaya, it may be good to drink LION beer while enjoying single dishes such as samosas and kebabs. A mini size has appeared in my favorite curry menu, and I wonder if it is a little more than a normal size? I thought it was perfect when I felt it. (The dry curry in the photo is a mini size) The staff are also friendly and I am grateful for the welcome atmosphere alone. Reasonable price is also attractive for the location of Tenmonkan. It's also taken out, so I wanted to use it more under the corona!
Sri Lankan curry and spice dishes are spicy. Please note that only the lunch menu is available at noon.
It's a very delicious curry! Dry curry is recommended
You can enjoy Sri Lankan food at a reasonable price. The personality of the owner, Ashoka, is good!
Located in the building opposite the famous ramen shop "Kuroiwa" in Tenmonkan, there is a staircase leading up to the 2nd floor towards the ramen shop at the back of the 1st floor. I went there for lunch, but there are many set menus with salads and drinks, and you can choose rice or naan, so there are many choices. Refills for curry roux, rice and naan are available for an additional fee. It is possible to change the naan to garlic naan or cheese naan for an additional fee. Most of the spiciness can be adjusted in 5 steps. My wife chose A (daily lunch) chicken keema, but the sweetness of the onions worked, and it tasted like mellow and high-quality Lazanya. Lassi was like a sweet yogurt drink and was perfect for retouching. I chose Sri Lankan curry for curry lunch, but it wasn't too spicy and stimulating, it felt like soup curry. Since it is cooked by Indians and Sri Lankans, both curry and naan are delicious with authentic taste.
If you're looking for a spicy curry while in Japan then come here. I'd recommend going as hot as possible if you enjoy spice. Curry tastes great and the naans were also very tasty. Hospitable staff and an all round great curry experience. (English menu and English speaking staff available)
It was really delicious. I want to go again.
A friend of Kagoshima taught me that this is a very authentic Sri Lankan curry shop. The taste is Japanese and it is very delicious. I asked for a curry set, but the menu has a wide range of items including sake, even if it is a single item, so it feels like a curry izakaya. I can adjust the spiciness and I think it's no problem to bring children. The place is on the 2nd floor of the multi-tenant building, and it has a pretty atmosphere, so it may be difficult to enter at first sight without prior knowledge, but the taste is very good, so please take the courage to enter. Personally, I was told about a good restaurant, so I'm thinking of repeating it.
Good food and nice options.
Tasty
Nice and tasty srilankan curry in Kagoshima. Good set menu for lunch time. Amazing bread!
Best place for vegans staying in Kagoshima (or so we found). Staff is knowledgeable about veganism, and can help you with the menu. Curries are good, samosas are good, but naan is REALLY good. Open late, and casual atmosphere.
The atmosphere kind of spooky, when we enter we don't like the interior of the restaurant. But the food was good.
I went on a business trip to Kagoshima in April at night ✨ Can I change the spiciness when ordering? I knew that it was a sister store, so if I said that I would make it real red 1/2 in Sri Lanka Monara He told me that it was the youngest brother's shop ✨ Also, when I told him that I had been to Sri Lanka Haru, he told me that it was the third store. It seemed that the sister store had brothers ✨ And Sri Lanka Kagoshima is the eldest son Ashoka's shop ? Then I ordered Sri Lankan beer LION stout ? And the salad is delicious (^ ○ ^) Since the cabbage is drained here, the dressing is firmly entwined! ️ ✨ Real red 1/2 arrival of dry curry I ordered while doing so (^ ○ ^) Delicious ✨ After a while, Mr. Ashoka, the owner of the shop, came to talk again. He told me about the beginning of the store and various things ✨ Mr. Ashoka used to work in Tunapaha, Fukuoka, and then in Kego Nuwara Eliya. After that, he opened a shop in Kumamoto, which is "Sri Lanka Kumamoto". After that, Mr. Ashoka came to Kagoshima and opened "Sri Lanka Kumamoto", and it seems that the second son is now Sri Lanka Kumamoto. After that, the third son issued the daimyo "Sri Lanka Fukuoka" and Kasuga City's "Sri Lanka Haru", and the fourth son issued "Sri Lanka Monara". Ashoka-san is kind (^ ○ ^) Thanks to you, I enjoyed eating (^ ○ ^) First of all, I want to conquer all the shops of my brothers. I've only been to Monara and Haru, so I'd like to go to Sri Lanka Fukuoka and Sri Lanka Kumamoto, and then to Tunapaha and Nuwara Eliya, which have roots ✨ (^ ○ ^) Oh, it was delicious ???
We recommend lunch and course of the evening. Good customer service is also good.
The photo is daily lunch 850 yen Personal recommendation is spinach chicken curry
A restaurant where you can eat Sri Lankan curry in Kagoshima. Especially noodle curry is delicious! It is always a gusset. It is an addictive curry that you sometimes want to eat sexily. Best vegan tofu curry I´ve ever had. Seriously :O Owner understands veganism. Nice autenthic atmosphere. Thank you for a great lunch!
Great food at moderate prices! Excellent Tandoori chicken! The best vegan tofu curry like ...ever! Owner speaks vegan :) Vitun hyvä setti!
Amazing food! Spicy level was perfect and the curries were some of the best I've ever had!
It is always delicious. It is a favorite place.
All things are good-tasting except Chai!!!!!!!
This is Srilanka. Shef have trained at hotel restaurant in Srilanka... Really good
Great to rediscover the unique and delicate flavours of Sri Lanka in Japan! The staff are very well informed and very much prepared to cater to vegan requirements. The samosas were amazing, the curries less so. Overall a pretty positive experience.
Daytime lunch is affordable and recommended, it is suitable for something other than a vermicelli, it is spicy, so people usually eat from everyday are two little tokkas are a little nice
Sri Lankan curry is smooth and fits a little hard rice. I feel painful at the beginning with a hot spirit 3. The curry of the picture is easy to eat with a little tangle and entangled with Nan.
I had really enjoyed this restaurant the few times I went in the past, however, tonight changed that. The waiter we had in a white shirt was incredibly rude. We ordered an all you can drink and a set menu. We were offered juice by said waiter . When our juice arrived and not our beer we asked him when our beer would arrive. The waiter became aggressive and Argumentitive saying we never said we wanted the all you can drink. It wasnt until we called over a different tall friendly waiter we were able to rectify the situation. Unfriendly service continued throughout the evening. At the end paying separately said waiter in the white shirt had knowingly over charged me. When I pointed out he overcharged me, he went over to a calculator (who knows why when the cash register automatically adds up the price) and realized he had over charged me instantly. This is the first bad experience I have had at a restaurant and service in Japan, not only because I was aggressively attacked over a waiters mistake, but also in being overcharged. The food is average and expensive and you can go to a far better Japanese owned chain of Indian restaurants. Wouldn’t recommend.
Great place if you're into South Asian cuisine, but want to try something a bit different. There are many "Indian restaurants" around Japan and they have great food, but if you're looking for something different or want a change, you definitely need to try Sri Lankan food, and this place offers some great stuff. They offer the typical Indian food but also their native Sri Lankan food, and a range of unique dishes; a great way to draw in the mainstream crowd and introducing them to new things. The curries are slightly sweeter, more soup like, have slight different use of spices and, coming from a Bangladeshi, to be honest feel more homely. Moreover, the food is reasonably priced, the ambiance is lovely and the staff are very kind and sweet. You definitely should give this place a visit if you're around kagoshima.
A mysterious curry that you will never get tired of eating every day. I'm basically eating 4 in a week lol Recommended is Kotorotti on Friday lunch!
This shop is recommended for those who want to taste a foreign country and who want to sweat! You can enjoy quite authentic Sri Lankan food The staff is only from Sri Lanka. It was a very friendly person and the atmosphere was good!
Amazing flavors and service. The naan, the samosa's, the curry, everything we tried there was wonderful.
Exactly as the other reviews stated: great place! Just one tip: get the dishes with the default spicyness level... I added one level to mine ( vegetarian curry) and the taste pallette of the dish was off ( the original dish tasted a lot better)
Not great, a little too spicy and not much flavor
I ate here for my first evening in Kagoshima and it was delightful! The staff were very kind. The samosas are awesome!
Vegan curry was amazing. Also the english speaking guy was so friendly and kind.
Recently it was also in Kusamata! I'm happy to be close Dry red is recommended for those who like spicy curry Anyway, it's spicy, but I can't say anything about it!
Very good Sri Lankan restaurant. They can make vegan options, which was very good for me. Really kind staff!!
I went to the night. I recommend it. It is noodle curry. I did not think that such a delicious texture and thick curry could be tasted. It becomes habit. It is safe because you can also choose the hotness. Smoking is allowed in the store. It is safe because those who are good at quitting smoking are divided next to each other. It is also good to be open late at night. Even one person can enjoy it casually.
Good quality, reasonable prices. Suggested.
Muslim friendly
Nice place. Good food. Nice english speaking staff. Definitly a place to go and try !!!
tasty srilankan curries. they serve indian food also but srilankan curries are better!
Excellent lunch set. Curry, nan, lassi, tandori chicken and salad for ¥950! The curry and nan were excellent. The lassi and tandori chicken were spot on (the chicken was a rather small piece, but that was a blessing given the size of the entire meal). The salad was nothing special. Having eaten at dozens of Indian restaurants all over Japan, I would absolutely rate this restaurant in the top 10 percent. Atmosphere 4 of 5 ☆(quite private yet spacious. Chairs are a bit rustic though. Indian tv is visible but not obtrusive) Menu 4 of 5 ☆(great lunch course selection. Has what I like but less depth than I have seen elsewhere.) Food: fantastic price: very reasonable
